Board of Directors

Fiona Avery, Chair

Fiona is an experienced finance professional, having held senior roles in Treasury, Investment Evaluation, Strategy and Planning at BHP. She is currently a Program Director for the BHP Foundation. Her experience includes corporate finance (debt and equity management), valuation, corporate transactions (acquisitions and demergers), and risk management. Fiona is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School, and a Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honours (University of Melbourne).  Fiona joined the ShareGift Australia board as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Finance and Risk Committee in August 2017 and was appointed Chair of the Board in November 2018.  

Cilla Boreham, Non-Executive Director & Company Secretary

Cilla is an experienced legal, risk and compliance professional, having worked initially in a major legal practice, and subsequently for over 15 years in inhouse legal, compliance and risk related roles with Goldman Sachs JBWere and then JBWere (after its acquisition by National Australia Bank Limited in 2009). 

In addition to managing the legal and risk functions at JBWere, Cilla was a member of the JBWere Executive Team which was responsible for the day to day management of the firm. She has been actively involved in most of the significant regulatory changes in the financial services industry over the last 15 years, as well as playing critical roles in relation to a number of key internal strategic initiatives. 

Cilla joined the ShareGift Australia board as a Non-Executive Director and Company Secretary in June 2016.

Stephen Dear, Non-Executive Director

Stephen Dear has worked in the financial services industry for more than 40 years, and has a depth of knowledge in corporate actions and how financial markets work beneath the surface. His current role at Link Market Services is divided between preparations for ASX’s retirement of CHESS and client corporate action projects.

Previously Stephen was at Netwealth responsible for the operational delivery of the managed account product.  Previously a technical advisor with both Computershare (2007-14) and Link Market Services (2001-07), to many of the registry clients’ inventive Corporate Actions projects, specialising in complex ECM and M&A projects. Other prior roles include: Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) as an industry facing analyst on the CHESS project (1992-96), ANZ Securities (1998) and JBWere (1998-2001); KPMG Registrars (1996-98) on Colonial Mutual Life's demutualisation project. 

Stephen joined the ShareGift Australia board as a Non-Executive Director in April 2016.

Anna Draffin, Executive Director

Anna joined the board of ShareGift Australia as Non Executive Director in April 2015, and was appointed Executive Director in June 2016.

Anna is a strategically focused, senior executive with over 15 years' experience in business strategy, management and positive change leadership within multi-stakeholder organisations, across the corporate, government, philanthropic and non-profit sectors. She has coached and worked with dozens of boards and senior management to build and translate innovation and vision into sustainable commercial models.

Anna is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and a Non Executive Director of YWCA's Victorian Housing Board. She holds a double degree in Commerce and Arts (University of Melbourne) and is a scholarship graduate of the General Manager Program (Australian Graduate School of Management, UNSW).

Barbara Hurley, Non-Executive Director

Barbara joined the board of ShareGift Australia as Non-Executive Director in August 2015. 

Barbara was formerly a partner of JBWere and most recently Executive Officer of the Goldman Sachs Australia Foundation. She was responsible for a range of employee community engagement programs at Goldman Sachs Australia and JBWere for over twenty years.

Barbara has Bachelor of Arts degree from Monash University and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course.


Lisa Mullins, Non-Executive Director

Lisa is an experienced finance professional with over 15 years’ experience in both Australia and France. She is currently a Director in KPMG’s Transaction Services division where she specialises in buy-side and sell-side corporate transactions, cross-border transactions, IPO’s and demergers. She also has experience in conducting the external audits of a range of organisations including not-for-profits and large, ASX-listed companies.

Lisa is a qualified Chartered Accountant and member of Chartered Accountants ANZ.

Lisa joined the ShareGift Australia Board as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Finance and Risk Committee in November 2018.

Anthony Sciuto, Non-Executive Director & Assistant Company Secretary

LB / BA (Hons), Monash University

Anthony is a solution focused corporate lawyer with wide-ranging expertise in global mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and securities law.

Anthony is currently in-house counsel at BHP and provides legal support to the M&A, treasury and other head office functions. Previously, Anthony was a lawyer at King & Wood Mallesons where he advised on M&A, equity capital markets, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

April Tyo, Finance Manager

April joined ShareGift Australia in November 2018 as Finance Manager.

She is a qualified CPA with extensive financial experience, including senior roles with Breast Cancer Network Australia, the Melbourne Fashion Festival and the Fair Work Ombudsman.
